The Urban Hermit has appeared in our time of need to embody the Going Solo Movement. He is here to investigate the stigmatization of public solitude and to rather present solitude as an opportunity for self-reflection, individualism and creativity.

Leaving traces of solo wisdom around the city he seeks to spark curiosity and conversations which in turn helps to grow the Going Solo Movement. 

In addition to the campaign, an exhibit popup was created to allow visitors to experience and reflect on their own public solitude in the Urban Hermit’s collective journal.
